An update of sorts

Uugh, I haven't really felt like updating here too much for whatever reason. Went to Seattle a few weekends ago, saw an awesome play, spent part of the next day at a coffee house drinking yummy hot chocolate and working on NaNo fic and then bought tickets to Leverage Convention.
And I couldn't get up the energy to type about it, so now that the excitement is passed, I think 'what is the point' and don't post about it.

The play was called Measure for Pleasure, but the way, and is loads better than any summary makes it sound!

I guess I am making a post right now because I have to be in bed in 30 minutes, I have 40 typed pages to read and critique for a writer's meeting tomorrow night, and I need to work on my NaNo Novel.

Speaking of NaNo:

25013 / 50000 words. 50% done!
I am really supposed to be at 30k by now, but it is still catchable and I still have plenty of plot to get typed out.

Oh...I also have college to do....crap.

Why the hell am I making this post??? Ack *runs*

After heading to Pikes Place Market around noon, Michelle, Gin, and I watched Shrek 1, 2, part of 3, then went to watch Shrek the Musical. Michelle is still humming the main song from it ;)

The play was amazing...and all the scenery and stuffs. Dunno how to even begin to describe it, lol. Seattle is the first city to get to see it before it moves on to Broadway.

I might try to do another post with a better description of my weekend once I am back home. Mind has been kinda scattered...plus I need to make sure I get enough sleep before brother comes to get me tomorrow.

Hello from Seattle! Went to see Bare: A Pop Opera. OMFG!!! I had seen the original cast performance *cough cough* and have loved it for several years now.
This was a very good version. Most of the cast were college aged students and they did an amazing job. Some hilarious bits that weren't in the original version or others that I had seen. I would babble about it more, but only like one of you would really understand it *sob*

Play

Went to see Les Miserables with a friend. It was down in Portland at the Broadway Rose theater.

I had a really crappy night's sleep. Room was a bit stuffy and Ki kept insisting on laying on me. She is so adorable when she purrs that I can't boot her off. But twice she did the 'full body spread' ie front paws at my neck, back ones at my waist.
I woke up at least every hour. And several times when I looked at the clock, I could have sworn the time never moved. uugh!!

Friend had been wanting to see this play for a long time, so I had looked in the Discovery Tour book and there was a tour for it.
Our stop was one of the middle ones. Still it took about 2 hours on the road. Small rest stop and then food at some buffet called the Sweet Tomato.

There was some maufunction with the computer for giving tickets, so we all only ended up with ticket stubs...which makes no sense because...well, just because lol

Seats weren't the greatest--was hoping for better because of the money--but we were in the upper tier which had a open view of the stage. Also, this run of the play had just started a few days ago, so there were a couple little bugs that would have gotten smoothed out later in the production, methinks.

Play was okay. I almost nodded off a few times during the lengthy 'slowish' songs.

The Full Monty

Went with Discovery Tours to go see the play The Full Monty in Tacoma. It was a 'Red Hatter's' group, so most of the ladies were wearing a combination of red and purple, with red/purple hats. Discovery Tours is mainly for older women, but I couldn't resist tagging along, and no one seemed to mind. No one wanted to go with me, so I went by myself. Dunno why no one would want to see a play about a bunch of male strippers :-/ Heee!

Cut for length--no pun, really! )
