An update of sorts

Uugh, I haven't really felt like updating here too much for whatever reason. Went to Seattle a few weekends ago, saw an awesome play, spent part of the next day at a coffee house drinking yummy hot chocolate and working on NaNo fic and then bought tickets to Leverage Convention.
And I couldn't get up the energy to type about it, so now that the excitement is passed, I think 'what is the point' and don't post about it.

The play was called Measure for Pleasure, but the way, and is loads better than any summary makes it sound!

I guess I am making a post right now because I have to be in bed in 30 minutes, I have 40 typed pages to read and critique for a writer's meeting tomorrow night, and I need to work on my NaNo Novel.

Speaking of NaNo:

25013 / 50000 words. 50% done!
I am really supposed to be at 30k by now, but it is still catchable and I still have plenty of plot to get typed out.

Oh...I also have college to do....crap.

Why the hell am I making this post??? Ack *runs*

Play

Went to see Les Miserables with a friend. It was down in Portland at the Broadway Rose theater.

I had a really crappy night's sleep. Room was a bit stuffy and Ki kept insisting on laying on me. She is so adorable when she purrs that I can't boot her off. But twice she did the 'full body spread' ie front paws at my neck, back ones at my waist.
I woke up at least every hour. And several times when I looked at the clock, I could have sworn the time never moved. uugh!!

Friend had been wanting to see this play for a long time, so I had looked in the Discovery Tour book and there was a tour for it.
Our stop was one of the middle ones. Still it took about 2 hours on the road. Small rest stop and then food at some buffet called the Sweet Tomato.

There was some maufunction with the computer for giving tickets, so we all only ended up with ticket stubs...which makes no sense because...well, just because lol

Seats weren't the greatest--was hoping for better because of the money--but we were in the upper tier which had a open view of the stage. Also, this run of the play had just started a few days ago, so there were a couple little bugs that would have gotten smoothed out later in the production, methinks.

Play was okay. I almost nodded off a few times during the lengthy 'slowish' songs.
