Ki loves to join me in the bathroom when I take a shower. She has until I get the towels laid down and my clothes off before I close the door all of the way. Just as I stepped into the shower, I heard her 'knock' at the door. AKA push against it to make it rattle.
Shower shower shower, lalala.
When I get out of the shower, she starts knocking again, which really makes a racket. oi
I grab my hair dryer and see her pay snake under the door just before I turn it on. She quickly pulls it back (has a hatred of the dryer). Once hair is mostly dry, I let her in. She looked put out that the 'party' was all over with. o.O I crouch to pet her some, and she headbutts my knee, almost knocking me over. *sigh*
Exciting, no?
Anyway, going to see Avatar tomorrow (Sunday) with Mom and one of her friends. They've never seen a 3D movie before, so shall be interesting :) I hope the 3D not make her sick. Heard a few reviews that mentioned it made them a bit ill, but there is no 2D option at the theater this time.

Saturday, November 29th, 2008 01:05 amIt is so fun having a cat on your lap who has never been on a lap before.
After several days of picking Bell (kitty from pic spam earlier) up and getting her used to being held for short periods, I finally managed to get her on my lap (the grab and dump method). She lounged and rubbed against my hand, licked/nibbled/rubbed some more, headbutted me after staring at my face from less than an inch away (kinda uncomfortable since I had no idea if she wanted to swat, lick, nibble, or what). Then she tried to move while still rubbing against my hand, and kept almost falling off my lap.
When she finally got/fell off, she peeked in the house and Ki hissed at her before running off. Then she actually attempted to go into the house before I distracted her with pets.
But yeah. I'm covered with cat fur, even in my mouth (grrr) and I have some marks on my legs where she was kneeding me through my jeans.

Saturday, September 6th, 2008 03:37 amLast night, Ki decided to wrestle with a pair of jeans I had sitting out:

Have a headache and I need to get up early at 8 for work at 10. Doing a full day, 10-8. Yay extra money...I guess.
After I shut Pea down...I remembered I needed to do the daily pic thing. So...
Today, went into town with Mom and Jeff to have dinner and a movie + shopping. Went to see X-Files movie. I loved the series a lot (not the Doggett eps though). Movie...meh. Best bit was when ( spoiler plus review )
Recap: Tired+headache=rambling and not making sense
After movie, we went for food, and to Wally.
I ended up buying a few things for Ki:

Dollar Store cat toy that looks pretty sturdy, and a few cat foods that she likes the best: Chicken and liver. Yum. *blink*

Someone gave me some canned catfood for Ki awhile back. Been feeding her some and I think I have created a monster!
She comes up to me, stretches against my chair, and begs for the food. Then she follows me into the kitchen where I grab a few papertowels and the food from the fridge, then follows me back to my room and sits on the papertowel as soon as I set it down while I unwrap the food. She doesn't eat all that much of it and it takes her about 4 days to eat 2/3 of it.

A couple days ago, I went to get it early, while she was lounging on the couch in the living room. I asked her if she wanted any (whispered while in kitchen), turned around, and almost tripped over her because she was right. there.

There have been severe thunderstorm warnings for a few spots here in Washington State. Most have been North of me and none of the warnings reached my area. Around midnight, there were small light flickerings, but I was listening to music and couldn't hear anything.
Now it is 4am and I can here some rumbling and it has been going on for awhile now. Mindy completely freaks out during storms and the 4th of July. She normally sleeps with Mom, but because of the freaking out, keeps panting and begging to be let out. So after 3 trips Mom made with her outside and trying to get her back to bed (over the course of 2 hours), I think Mom gave up. Mindy came into my room and when I went to return her to Mom's bedroom, the door was closed lol.
So I now have her in my room, door mostly closed to keep her from pacing back and forth, and it is about 4:30. Ki just pushed the door open and gave me a WTF? look. I went to grab her and she zipped off towards the bathroom. I closed the door, sat back down (to write this entry) typed one word and she opened it again. Rinse, repeat. Finally I let myself be led to the bathroom so she could get her fresh tap water. She just finished a minute ago and strolled back in like she owns the place (she does) and is now on the back of my chair. Was, she just hopped off.
Welcome to catering for critters, can I help you?
Here is Mindy near the door, panting. She jumped when the flash went off

and she zipped over next to my chair:

Now...she is really going to freak out when I leave the room so I can get dressed for bed. Oi. Sleep will be fun.

Daily picture(s) time
Friday, June 13th, 2008 10:23 pmKi has been being a pain and scratching at the carpet a lot, as well as on her boxes which hold her food sacks (we allow the box scratching because it takes her almost a year to wear out a box..and it is a good cause. The carpet...uugh. I swear, she does it just to irritate me. I say her name, she ignores me. I yell her name, she flops to her side and looks cute before resuming. I stand, and she zips the hell off down the hallway. *sigh*
Anyway, I bought her this 20 buck thing from K-Mart in the hopes of getting her to scratch/do something with it:

First she was afraid of it. I put her on top a few times, but when she leaps off, it rocks a bit. She not like that. So the past few days I have been playing with her when she gets into one of her 'hyper' moods, tossing toys around it so she will claw at it. Got her to actually crawl in there once and she gave me such an intense stare that I didn't want to get near her.
Today, it was nice and sunny and Ki was melting in the sun on my bed. So I scooped her up and dumped her on top of it, then ruffled her up a bit. And I took pictures! (she is strangely tolerant of me and the bright flashes ;)

But now I have reached a dilemma....do I scold her if she scratches at it, or not...since scolding really seems to encourage the little snake ^_^
