Dreams

I used to have dreams all the time, but they had stopped for several months. Now, it looks like they are back. Had some very vivid ones these past two night. And they actually involve fandom!! *shock*

Okay, the first dream, 2 nights ago:
The details have faded a lot, but I do remember that it was 24 related. Milo had been killed, but not like in show. Jack demanded 'we' revive him. Dunno who this other person was. And I think this was spurred on by what [livejournal.com profile] michelleann68 told be about a cut scene with mouth to mouth in the Spiderman movie. Anyways, this other person did the CPR thingy (no mouth to mouth that I remember) while I watched really really close. Then it was kinda a dramatic watching the eyelashes flutter open. Now, I am positive that it wasn't Milo's eyes that I was looking at. They were pretty and blue and mmmm. And that is all I remember. There was more at the start with Jack being all snarly about getting Milo back among the living.

And second dream:
The details are rapidly fading on this one, pissed about that. I know it started out at the library. I was in trouble and following someone who was pretty much ignoring me. There were two doors, side by side. We went through one (I remember coming back and looking at the other door, and it lead to the same place as the first), and it lead outside. Kinda hazy, like a fantasy place. Almost think we went through a book, though there is no mention of that later. We zigzag around, going past these different places. Like lightpost, mechanic shop, wooded area, etc.
We reach some sort of destination, some store with a counter. Wish I could remember why I was following this guy. I think at the start we were together, then he started walking faster and faster so I had a hard time keeping up. Anyway, when he turned, he morphed into House. And he was pissed at me. Yelling and stuff. So...I think I was Wilson o.O Then I got mad and said something that...damn, I can't remember words, only mind pictures. But it was really bizzare...like I would forgive him if he gave me a hostess cupcake *blinks*
So I turned, in an eyewatering huff and hurryed off at a frantic place, going past all these places we had went by. NO idea how I managed to find my way back. Normally I would be hopelessly lost. Back out of the doors and I was...in my driveway? Or at least some place by my car.
A bit later, I was inside, sitting on this odd flowery patterened sofa and House walked in with this sad looking hostess cupcake (the frosting was a ways away from the edges and it looked really pathetic). But I forgave him, just like that. And that was the end 'scene.'
And I think that last dream can be blamed on Michelle as well...all the wandering around Seattle we did last weekend, and with the discussions about Wilson always forgiving House ^.^

My computer is being like 3 times faster than it normally is. I think it is just sucking up because I have been looking into getting a laptop. I figure that it costs close to the same as a desktop, and, if I get one, I can still keep the old desktop here, since the laptop wouldn't need to go in its place.
So, question for all you laptop users...how well do laptops work when you take them places as far as being able to get an internet connection? If that even makes sense. I am laptop illiterate for the time being :)

Now, to babble about the goings-on lately.

This last weekend, my RL aunt was going down up to Seattle to visit her brother and asked if I wanted to go along so I could stay with [livejournal.com profile] michelleann68. I was already planning on visiting towards the end of June, but hey, it would be fun! ;) Had to look into finding a sub for my Sunday library hours, which wasn't too hard *whew* Hated to miss out on the money for that day, but *shrugs* I don't get to spend enough time with Donna (aunt), so we could jabber on the way there and back.
Was picked up at about 10 and got to Seattle around 12:30. After some major confusion about where to be dropped off (sorry, Michelle, I am crap with directions...prob a reason why I don't want to drive places I am unfamiliar with), I switched vehicles and was off to Michelle's apartment. Dumped off my bag, said a quick hello to her cat, Mils (Lisa was in hiding) and we were off again.

Awhile back, I had been talked into (hee) donating my hair to Locks of Love. Was going to do that in June during the original visit, but now was as good a time as any. Had a 3:00 apointment, so we killed a bit of time at Starbucks (I think? See, this is why I need to update asap...details get a bit foggy), and I enjoyed a large peanutbutter cookie a bit too much. Then we checked two theaters to see about showtimes for Spiderman 3, thinking about seeing it later that night. Then we went to a few other places...Lush? and something with a Z that I can't spell. Went to the hairplace and was told they were running behind schedule. I wanted to avoid any place with books, but it is a good way to kill time, so we went to Barnes and Noble. And I managed not to buy anything!

Back to hairplace. They were still backed up, so we waited there. Super nice, asked me if I wanted them to get me anything o.o Dunno how long we waited, but finally was my turn. Dun de dum. They measured my hair before chopping it off. And I was able to avoid yelling a dramatic NO! as the scissors started to snip. Head felt so much lighter after it was gone, wow. Then I was in for a wash, then to get it styled. The stylest and I pretty much talked non-stop. And I am not a talkative person, so I think it was a buildup of nervousness or something.

Loved the way it was styled: About shoulder length, hair parted in the middle, about an inch shorter for the bangs to frame my face, etc. Naturally as soon as I washed it, it poofs and won't behave. I think I almost have it down how to style it similar. I need to take pictures at some point.

We were going to meet with Gin (who I met last/first time I visited) and her Mom, but they got busy with something else, I think because the hair took so long. We were close to the movie theater, so zipped over there. I think Spiderman was showing on at least 6-10 screens, so there was a showing in just about 5 minutes. Which was enough time to find the bathroom and settle in shortly after the previews started.

I really enjoyed it, though MJ makes me ill. There was too much romance crap in it. MJ reminds me of Cameron from House. Sure they aren't related? MJ bugs me way more. The fight scenes were awesome and I now want to slash Harry and Spidey sooo bad! Urge to go look for fanfiction is still calling to me. I went to see the movie again, dragging Mom along, mainly just so I could see the scenes with Harry in them again. (shut up lol)

So...let's see...I know we had pizza for dinner. Very loud and it took forever to get served. Food was decent, but I don't think it was worth the wait.
Oh, before that, we went down to The Seattle Art Museum and got tickets for Sunday. It had just reopened that weekend and you can get in free, but you had to pick up tickets for what time you were planning on being there.

Got home around...9? maybe later, to a much better welcome from the cats.

Despite the excitement, it was hard to fall asleep. I am used to staying up until 4am most nights, and it was just past 11. Layed there for a bit, plotting out a H/W bunny that sprung to mind. Sounded plausable, so I got up and typed some of it up, which started to sound suckish, then I went back to bed...er couch ;) around midnight.
Woke up a couple times, and one of those times Mils came to say howdy.
Officially up about 7:30..I think. Had a bit of time to kill before meeting with Gin and her Mom at the museum. Went to this nice little place for breakfast. I'm not a huge fan of waffles, but I really liked the ones that were served there. Very popular place with a waiting list. And, naturally, when we left, there was no one in line. Had to hurry since we were running a bit late.

Guh...fingers hurting from all the typing lol.

So. SAM.
Modern art just confuses me. *shakes head* Maybe I just need to get out more. First museum I had ever been to.
Manged to get seperated from Michelle and Gin. I tried calling Michelle while Gin's Mom tried Gin. Both their phones were checked in at the start. Kidna amusing. So we went around to look at everything on that floor, trying to keep an eye out. Appariently, we kept both eyes on the look out, because we ended up walking right past a statue thingy of a giant rat that was...sitting on a bed/matress that was on a person. Dunno how the hell we missed it because we literally had to walk past its tail.
And, the freaky thing is...there was a picture of a pile of naked men that I also missed...though I still swear that picture wasn't there at the time. I distinctly remember looking at the one before and after it, and Gin's Mom agreed with me. And the only thing that would have distracted me from it was the giant rat. That I didn't see.

Went out to lunch after that, then swung by this Japanese dollar store, where everything was 1.50. Bought a toy for Ki (my cat) that she absolutely loves. Just a plain mouse with a feather on it attached to a string attached to a stick. She had one already, but it didn't have the feather, which she is bonkers for.

Donna was picking me up at 4, so we went back home to round up things and hang out a little more.

It sure didn't seem like I had only been there a day, with all the stuff we got crammed into our time. Kinda sureal.

I don't think I had walked so much in a month as I did that weekend. My legs were throbbing and they finally stopped hurting on Wednesday. I need to keep them in shape for my next visit, though I am told that we won't do as much walking. Shall see :)

Everyone likes the new haircut. It is a bit warm on my neck. I can tie it back if I really wanted to, but trying to avoid that until I get desperate. And it wasn't until later that I realized that the hairplace took my cheap little hair tie lol. Not like I plan on using them *amused*

Okay, I think I have spammed the flist enough. Oh except for one more thing:

I loved the newest House ep! Wilson on speed!! Ahhhh!! Thinking of that scene is enough to give me a dopey smile for the rest of the day. So glad that Wilson has been getting a lot of love (umm...as far as a lot of scenes goes lol) these last few eps *happy dance* But season is almost over :'(

Yeah, yeah. Again long time no update. Still here, really :D

First, a Question about last night's House (I really need to type up a review, I quite enjoyed it): Am I the only one who thinks that Wilson's "Where's House?" was meant sarcastically like 'where's House when you need him?' I didn't sound like a question that required an answer.

I don't know why I have been so lazy updating lately. Things are actually going on that I can jabber about!

Working backwards:

* Dentist appointment today. Took the day off work (my vacation hours are maxed, so I need to 'use 'em or lose 'em). Had I think 5-6 little fillings done. Had to scrape at the edge of my gums a bit, so that and the 4 shots of novocaine really are smarting. And hopefully one of the ones they fixed is the tooth that had been hurting to chew on for the past year and a half...would be nice.

* Last Saturday I went to see Camalot with my Aunt. First actual play I had gone to (though I have 'seen' many ;) )
The main actor, Michael York, looked so much like the guy who played Merlin in Merlin-Sam Neil, that it put me a little off. Lancealot was arrogant to the point of dislike for the first half, but then I started really enjoying him. A couple breathtaking musical numbers and the scenery was gorgeous--all sparkly.
Had decent seats, row L, and only one blind spot, lower center stage, but no one spent too much time on the ground at center stage...except when this one person died...then was brought back. So I kinda missed that lol.
Intermission, when I went out for fresh air past the smoke screen at the door was nice, but very claustraphobic to get out. Mod-like out there *shudder*

* More steps towards getting the new library built. All the hundreds of roses that were surrounding our building have been taken out so they wont get smushed when construction starts (mid to late August). Going to take a year to build. But, now they are taking out the old City Hall building next to the library, so the new building will be nice and centered up on the hill. Seen a few drawings of what it would look like and it is gorgeous (as far as buildings go lol). Was in the paper. When I got to work yesterday, my boss eagerly showed me the article...it was the first that she had heard about the City Hall being taken out. So that was fun :)
Also, fun fact, you can 'buy' a bookshelf at the new library--have your name put above it. Some old guy is 'buying' the travel section. Going to be laughing for a while over that one! :)
I might try to take a picture of the article or scan it (not sure if computer can handle the scanner...not tried it lately. Digital camera will probably have to do.

I...think that is all I have to babble about, except the new House ep. I would do that now, but Mom is demanding I go do 'more important' stuff.

ppppft

Oooh, and if you haven't already, go look at [livejournal.com profile] elicia8's House artwork! Just go to her LJ and start scrolling backwards. I swear, some days when I log into LJ, I am just hoping to see something by her. *nudge*

*runs off*

Fandom stuffs

I really need to stop saying that I will be better with posting...because them I don't post for who knows how long (afraid to look) and then kick myself every night for being lazy and...not...posting.

So, time to babble a bit (or a lot) on some of the fandoms I am loving and things I watch (should be same thing...I don't watch stuff I don't like.

House )

Prison Break and 24 )

OC )

Well, those are the biggies.

Now...some RL stuff going on as well that I need to babble about...soon. lol
evila_elf: (Default)
...or it seems that way. I'm still here, reading House fanfics like a mad person...I like to stay caught up lol

Lotta randomness up ahead:

Been snowing quite a bit, snow is still here. Driving is fun when you can't see the road *sigh* One of the first snow days, Dad didn't want me driving to work because of ice and stuff. Funny, but the roads were pretty much clear in town. I was feeling lazy, so I let him drive me in.
Well, turns out, after he dropped me off, he went to store. When he go back into car (mine) it would not start. He had to have it towed. It looked to be a problem with the fuel pump not wanting to work...the guy said he was able to get it semi-working again by tapping on it, but recommended getting a new one. Parts and labor=over 700 bucks *sobs* So I am pretty much broke now. Funny that it was the one day that I didn't drive myself to work. I would have flipping panicked if the car refused to star on me!

Moving on. Was a library staff meeting last Saturday. Not much that involved me and my lowly position, but they did talk a bit about the new library that we are going to get. In case you don't know...as soon as we get the funding, our library is getting torn down and a new one built in its place. Estimated time=8months to a year. Once we get 95% of the money needed, we will move everything to the building across the street's basement...a community building of some sort, can't remember. But on Wednesdays we can't have children programms because of some court stuff going on. Fuun. And we don't even know if all of us will have a job there for that time. Some of us might have to work at another library to get our hours in. Going to be much smaller while we wait on construction, so might not need all of us. And there are only 6 of us. Only 2 shelvers, so I hope I can stay. I love working over at Centralia on Sundays, but the staff are mostly subs, so that makes it fun. It gets so hectic there other times.
We are hoping to get the building started during the good weather. *deep breath* I am the type who will flip out if not involved in the moving process...I need to know where everything is at. If books just tossed in random boxes, I will flip.

Looking forward to the Tritter-free House episodes. As much as I didn't mind Tritter, he wore out his welcome...just wish he could have gone out with a bang rather than a pop.

Watched a series called Black Books. Well, the first series--6 episodes. Quite funny. Has Bill Bailey in it, who I enjoyed from his few eps on QI.

24 is sure off to a great start! Wow! That bit where the guy was kicked from subway was awesome! (Keeping details down so not to spoil much lol.) Looking forward to the return of Prison Break! American Idol makes me question my sanity for enjoying it so much. The brother and sister who made it...I am rooting for those two.

I managed to burn my knuckle pretty bad. On the metal thingy under the dishwasher. Was trying to retrieve a spoon...forgot it was hot under there. Doesn't really hurt too bad unless I bend finger bad or rub it against something. Skin is cracked and a little infected. It hurts more like a cut rather than a burn, which I am thankful for. I also got a very nasty paper cut between my first finger and thumb. So when ever I grab something, it automatically brushes against it. I find that more painful than that burn.

I went to see Rocky Balboa on Monday. It was much better than I expected. A couple years ago I was a huge fan of the firs tcouple movies. I did hate all the backstory and flashbacks, and I don't think it said what happened to Adrian. Sure showed enough flashbacks of her. Also the callbak to the meat punching *sigh* It didn't even make sense to keep it in since Paulie was no longer working at that place. Then when they showed the flashback of that scene when he was fighting at the end? OMG rediculois! And they said he couldn't do running training because of his knees...not more than 5 minutes later he was running. Movie not the same without it, but did get a errr?? moment. Enjoyable at least :)

I think that is about all...so I will leave you all with a meme (I'm kind lol)

Well...'ello all ^.^

I'm back...not that I have been anywhere to return from.

Just going to jabber about things and see where I take myself and you poor readers.

The interview thingy a few weeks ago that I think I failed to mention about went fine. There were 2 other people interviewed as well. Both guys, which surprised me. About 90% of all library workers are female, according to what I see at all staff day (which is October 8th this year). We were basically asked stuff about our job. We all stressed at how annoying it was to not get computer training until we move from Page to Aide. I wonder if anything will come of it. Well, all of us were quite shy--including the whole 'wait for someone else to aske question first.' One of the guys worked right there at the Service Center, and had for several months. The other worked in Olympia for...6 months or something like that. They were real nice.
Moving along...

The last episode of House was my favorite by far this season, and most of last season, yet I have only seen it once and not typed up a review. As for my internet time, it seems like I am swamped when I get on here, and not enough time to do everything in. Like right now. I have about an hour until I am supposed to be in bed, but I can stretch that for another half hour, yet still that isn't enough time to do things in.

The AD/RSL RPS fic series I have been cowriting is a blast and takes priority over everything else I have going. Sometimes I get so focussed that I only leave myself a few hours for my flist. Then someone posts an epic story that I have to read and I am up until 4 and Mom is pissed and wants to take away my computer *facepalm*

Speaking of writing, I have decided to try NaNoWriMo this year! 2 years ago, I heard a bit about it, but not enough to realize quite what it was. Then last year things clicked a bit, but I didn't even consider trying it.
So. This will either be tons of fun, or Hell. I do have a backup story idea in case the first one demands to be shot. Dunno if I will post any of it here unless I am terribly proud of it. It will be an original, so I doubt many of you would really be that interested.
November will be interesting. The NaNo, posting a new RPS fic every other day, keeping up on flist, some betaing, RL, IM conversation(s).

*thinks* I know there was more I wanted to say about...something.

Prison Break==*Sob*

No new House for awhile==*Sob*

I have another song post to do before my links expire. That will take awhile...Hope I can get to it tonight ^.^

So much for trying to keep on top of posting, bleh!

Anyways. I picked up a new TV Guide and there were a few little House mentions for what is on next. Nothing too big, but I will put it behind a cut. No idea if these have been mentioned anywhere else. So looking forward to this one!
(and am I correct in thinking that there is a break after this episode?? :-/

Ick...been meaning to babble a bit here for awhile, but I haven't really felt like anything other than the fan squees and such. I had just noticed that 8 of my past 10 posts have been TB sound clips lol
So, this will be very randoM.

Saw V for Vendetta last Sunday, so the alone trip to the theater was a success. Not many people there. I chatted for a second with the 'food people' to see what they thought. They said they liked it and that the only people who hadn't were ones that had a hard time following the story line.
I couldn't resist the popcorn, so I bought a small sized and took a seat off to the right set of seats. Considering how few people there were, I should have sat in the middle, but, well...I ALWAYS sit to the right.
Moving right along, ha ha, I loved the movie! Much less violence than I thought there would be, and not as dark. V in an apron had me giggling for a bit. Stephen Fry was awesome while he lasted, and that show he did had me in stitches! Too few people in the theater to tell if anyone else was as amused as I was, unfortunately. Gave me flashes back to "A Bit of Fry and Laurie"
Still was a wise choice to 'go solo' to it, since I doubt that either parent would approve. I might have to rent it when it comes out to give them the hour version of it.
I'm not one of the people who should drive after watching a movie at the theater. I think I get into it a little bit and feel real detached. I hardly remember the drive home and am really surprised I made it back lol

I've had a few odd dreams in the past week. In one, I was looking in the bathroom mirror and I seemed to have grown a partial beard a la House. I was trying to decide if it was real noticible. Felt wierd touching it--in a very real way. Another dream--I dreamed that Hugh was performing on a duet version of American Idol. I thought he sounded so so, but Simon loved it. Said something about that numerous contestants have performed it over the years, but 'this was the first realistic version we have had yet' So, yeah lol.

A sentence in my Entertainment Weekly mag in the What to watch section:
House:
Wilson's still living with House, because oncologists can't afford hotels.

I'm hoping this means that they will still be living together by the end of the episode :D :D :D :D

Today at Wallyworld, I bought Switchfoot, the early years 1997-2000 3 CD set! Has 3 of their first albums, 32 songs :D Was only 14 bucks yay!

Wednesday at the library was Hell. There was so much shelving to do! I did 2 and a half hours worth of shelving from my cart in an hour, then spent my next hour shelving downstairs. Corine, by boss, was over shelving audio books, and I shelved all the new books while she was over there. She was a bit surprised when she came back, hehe. I think she was tempted to tell me to shelve accurately as well as fast, but she didn't. I think after over 2 years she has learned not to bug me when I am in 'speedy mode.' About ready to collapse when I got home, then had to listen to Mom grouch at me that 2 hours of working is nothing compared to what she use to do. *sigh*

Hmm...staring blankly at the screen should be a clue that I have run out of things to babble about.
