NaNoWriMo Day 1
Tuesday, November 1st, 2011 11:46 pmWell, I have reached my word count for the day with about 30 minutes to spare.
Had the NaNo Kick off Party last night. We drew pictures of our inner critics, made them into paper airplanes and threw them around. Then we took them outside and burned them. No arrests were made.
I only managed about 900 words in the three hours I was there. Wasn't really feeling my characters all that much. So I went back and added a couple pages that took place before the point at which I started writing and got the rest of my word count from that and I am all happy again.
I wasn't planning on having any gay characters this year in my novel because the plot is so heavy that I am not sure I can toss other issues in on top of it. But the secondary character might be gay. I say 'might' because...I really have no idea what he's up to. *shakes head*

I had been planning on doing the third part of my trilogy for this year's NaNo. It was a story that I had started 3 years ago for NaNo and only got about 12k into. But, I would have to completely scrap and rewrite, because those 12k words can't count for this NaNo and...the middle story sucked and I want to FIX IT before I consider doing the third one.
So this year, I am doing a fantasy novel. I haven't written fantasy in ages! I just had a gleeful time working out some stuff about the universe and creatures.
