:D :D :D

I enjoyed it very much.

2 years. Wow. I was worried I had my sights set too high and I would be very disappointed. And the beginning had me worried. But when the "Sleep" bit happened to John, I guessed something HAD to be up. I did not wait for 2 years for that explanation!

Whew!

Haha! John has to explain every series how he isn't gay. And no one believes him.

Poor Sherlock (and yes, poor John as well). It shows he hasn't had much human interaction that hasn't involved deception. He was all rambling and a bit nervous acting around John.

I like Mary, though it feels a little bit forced. As if we are supposed to like her. *winces* I don't think I explained that well... I would prefer to like her for her being witty, not because she likes Sherlock. Wait, did we actually go an ep without Sherlock insulting her?

The second fake reveal was awesome! Another shout out at the oddities of fangirls, but it was so out of left field :D

The whole back and forth between Sherlock and John while at the office was brilliantly edited. "What did he say to you?"
SH: "Fff--"
John: "Cough"

Train bit...I would have thought the 5 minute delay would have been noticed immediately.

I do love that we FINALLY got the correct story on how he faked it (or DID we?), but it seemed shoved in there oddly.

The clock countdown should have been longer. Too short for everything that happened to have happened. And I really disliked John repeating the words he used at the gravesite. It's been two years. I have heard them said over a hundred times already, plus Sherlock had already heard them and it made everything overly sappy.

Oh, Sherlock, so mean to John. I loved Sherlock's frustration at not being able to diffuse the bomb, and I don't mind too much that mean trick he pulled, but I wish the words were different and they held more meaning to them. And the fact that they should have blown up by that time took away all suspense for me.

I've watched it twice already. Will probably see a few more times before Sunday. Going to be so sad when this is all over again. I would love for it to be an ep a month. Spread out the awesome!

The editing was so awesome, and oh how I missed that fantastic cinematography!

I also loved the "wrong" versions of the Fall, Anderson's Sherlock The Action Hero one, and the Sherlock And The Villain In Love one. XD This was for the fans. And the last one... well, it seems to be the most plausible one, considering, but I actually like that it's not absolutely clear, because no matter what they chose, someone would've said what Anderson said, "Not how I would've done it. It's a bit disappointing."

I really liked Mary, I get what you mean, but luckily it didn't feel like that to me. And I think because she is so likeable, we'll get some serious shit in the last episode...

The timing was off there at the end, yes. Using the same words, i didn't mind it that much, because it felt to me like John thought, Well, this is the end, and I didn't manage to say it to him the last time, so I'm going to do it now, no more regrets. Because I think at that time he still doesn't know that Sherlock heard him.

I think a few times Sherlock had mentioned he was there at the grave. Pretty sure he mentioned before that scene, but will double check when I rewatch :)

I liked Anderson's "Bit disappointing" comment and how he had been working on scenarios for 2 years. He really is channeling the fanpeople hehe. The only thing I wanted from the fall was that the body on the ground just had to be Sherlock's.

You forgot to mention the awesomeness that was Mycroft Holmes. I mentally squeed when I first heard his voice. And later, when they were playing games. It was so perfect. I loved it when he said "I am the smart one." Ah, the boys are so awesome.

As for the beginning, that was Class A trolling. My friend and I were like, "This is not really happening," but with the explanation that it was Anderson's idea it became instant win. (Anderson ships Sherlock/Molly, what?)

What annoyed me by the end a bit was that they had to use his full name so often. With Mycroft, I can explain it, because he might be grounding him back into his old life by saying his name. (Since he must have used a lot of aliases during his "holidays.")

I was a bit disappointed in Sherlock's parents, but that might be because it doesn't fit the characterisation in a fic I'm working on and now that we've seen them, I'm sad all my work is worth nothing anymore.

Yeah, the countdown was a bit off. John should have noticed that it was rigged, when they didn't blow up after their little heart-to-heart. But I heard of a little comment that explained it quite well. A lot of people were complaining that Sherlock and John didn't really talk about the important issues and that there was a lot left to be said. We all know Sherlock isn't one for feelings and especially not talking about them. But there were things he needed to say to John and so this spilling your guts during your last moments can be seen as a cover for him to reveal some of his thoughts he couldn't have shared in other situations.

Anyway, the episode was extremely emotionally satisfying for me, even though it was a bit all pver the place. I was glad they didn't make a sappy reunion that some fans are clamouring for, and that has been written to death in fanfics. Gonna watch it again tonight.

*facepalm* Yes, how could I forget Mycroft? Them playing Operation was awesome! I think I spent the whole time thinking [livejournal.com profile] daasgrrl is going to love this! that it felt weird squeeing over it myself lol

I didn't mind the heart to heart, but I had a hard time getting into it because the bomb should have exploded before it even started! I do a mental countdown any time there is a bomb in a show.

Ah yes, the parents. I enjoyed the scene, but you're right, the parents didn't really fit. Not even from Mycroft's brief comments in s2 about them. I really expected his mother to be dead for some reason.

I've just burned several copies for my coworkers who have been bugging me for the last year about more episodes.

AND I DID. LOL.

...I was just all, stop that yelling John, how's he going to concentrate?

That was my reaction, too. But in the end, he didn't need to, hah.

Oh, yes it was. "Can't handle a broken heart? How very telling."

Yes, that too. The mental countdown is a good idea. After a while I usually go, oh come on you don't have time for this.

I expected the mother to be alive, because of the Christmas dinners John should imagine in s1. But they never mentioned the father, so I was okay with the assumption that he had vanished from their life one way or another, died or moved out.

Watched Sign of Three already?
