I am so done.

And no, it isn't because I am a diehard H/W fan. I don't really expect my ship to ever become canon. But, damnit, if you are going to force a ship on a fandom, make it fucking believable!

Is this the Huddy stuff I've been hearing about? I got a bit behind 'cause RL got all crazy, but I've been hearing some wtf-inducing things.

Yeah. Was trying to be a little vague to avoid spoilers.

But it was a little WTF this whole season, but this was the straw.
The two episodes before the finale I thought were the best of the season, so I was hopeful that this would be a good one, too.
Nada.

Bummer (and sorry about the spoiler blunder -_-) Is season 6 even worth bothering catching up on?

Oh, no, I mean to avoid spoilering other people passing by. If they click into the comments, they are on their own!

Most of the season was just background for me. I say watch the first handful of eps so you get a feel for what is going on, then read summaries for the rest, and watch the last three (hey, you have to suffer through the finale like the rest of us!)

Sounds fair to me. My flailings on my journal are probably gonna be pretty hilarious, from what I understand has been going on on the show.

I haven't even watched it after reading how it ended. I'm with you, I'm a hardcore H/W but I'm also a realist so I know that boat don't float. However, I just can't get behind Huddy. It feels to contrived to me after all these years of all spark and no flame. Maybe I've just never been around a relationship like that but it doesn't had any solidness to me. I really liked their earlier relationship, the sharp stick approach they took - jabbing at each other and being playful. It's the pining and all that heaviness that annoys me. They've known each other for years and suddenly they are desperately in love? Okay, whatever. Just me I suppose. I choose to live in a H/W world - but they're also slipping to boring waters. I like the amusing side of them, the friendly banter and playful aspect of H/W as well. Maybe I just need a new fandom?

See, even if we get the chance to have H/W become canon, it would have to be done right! If Cuddy was replaced with Wilson, I would be pissed, because it doesn't do their storyline/history together justice!

The writers seem to only be focussed on making the Huddy people happy. They seem to forget that good writing can make people fall in love with ships they aren't for.

There was a 'write your own ending' on the housewilsonlol comm. Mine was:

CUDDY TOTES WANTED SOME SEXING, SO SHE LIED ABOUT LUCAS, FUCKS HOUSE'S BRAINS OUT, AND LEAVES HIM.

ENTER UPSET WILSON, WHO BLOWS UP AND KILLS CUDDY.

WILSON AND HOUSE FLEE FOR THE BORDER.

...

or something like that.

*sigh* if only

That sounds better to me. I'm not sure when I will get around to watching it but I know it won't make me happy. I can't see anything long term coming of Huddy, I would rather it be a quick fling, and then both realize it's not going to work and then he moves in with Wilson (who murdered Sam over the rings on the coffee table and the milk in the door) and they live happily ever after - in their own demented way.

I am so with you on this. I didn't expect the ship to sail, but oh man, Huddy is just so awful. I literally couldn't watch the final moments, it was so awkward. UGH. They've really done a great job torpedoing the show. I don't think it was ever the same past Season 2, IMHO.

And the sad thing is, is that the pro-Huddys don't seem to care how their ship happens! They call it the best episode ever!

I really need to stop looking at comment boards.

UGH! Huddy makes me want to barf, even though I haven't watched a full House episode in a couple years. (...LMAO Full House. Well, that, too, I haven't watched in years!)

That's sad as hell. I'm going to have to read about this awful development, just so I can shake my head sadly and wonder where that great show from 2004-2006 went.
