I was just heading into my room for something. I was just wondering when my lightbulb was going to die because I had had a string of bad ones that would barely last a month and this one has lasted well over 3. As soon as I flipped the switch, it flashed and died. WTF? I was thinking that just as I was reaching for the switch!

A lot of our lightbulbs were old. And I have the light on a lot. So I think it was mainly that. The house is less than 10 years old, so no ancient wiring :)

New wiring doesn't mean there can't be a problem with the fixture. If other old lightbulbs are lasting a lot longer in other fixtures around the house, it's still worth a look. Safety first and all that.
