Okay...where was I?
Ah, yes, Fisherman's Warf.
(Can click on pics to make bigger)
A very very small beach

Group picture:

So, we paid 5 bucks to wander around on some ships. Went on the Eureka (Gin's Eureka obsession knows no bounds lol)

There were a bunch of old vehicles below on it:

View of Alcatraz:

And the city:

Went on two more ships. Didn't take many good pictures of them. One was really small, and the other had a nice set up of transported goods and stuff. There were a few videos that were playing that told about the ships and cargo.
After that, we met up with a couple of Gin's friends, SJ and Ben. We caught a bus (after waiting for a half hour for one that never showed up-lol) so we could check out the Arboretum. Ended up taking a wrong direction and wandered around for about an hour and a half as we slowly made a circle and finally found where we needed to go. Gin was happy at least lol.
I was hoping that we wouldn't find the place and get to head back, because every step was agony by that point. I have no idea what I had done to my legs. It wasn't walking cramps or anything, just the ache that started pretty much since I got to CA expanding, getting worse, and moving on to both legs. Uugh.
Before we found where we were going:

Trying to entertain myself, I think. I have no idea why I took this pic:

Then, once we finally found where we were aiming for, things got a little more interesting. I really liked this...thing. Whatever it was:

Pond:

SJ and Ben watching a duck. Michelle and them were making up a history for the duck. It was determined that it was going to get lucky that night:

This led to the back of the pond:

Walked some more. I had my fingers crossed that I would be able to move at all the next day and was already dreading Tuesday, when I would be shelving books for 5 hours.
We found the entrance/exit without getting lost (woot!) and sat down for a bit. I am pissed that I didn't get a picture of this, but there was a fake flower, like 5 feet tall, that was a donation thing. It was a bit past the entrance. Michelle and SJ were cackling over how many people seemed to gravitate to it. Gin and Ben were slightly disturbed at the whole thing *giggles*
So we finally left and got a bus back to the city. Got food, then parted ways to head back to the hotel.
While showering, I realized I had burned. the. part. in. my. hair. o.O And my arms were a bit crispy. Didn't really hurt unless I touched them--never really noticed how much I rest my hands on my arms--all the time.
Wanted to sleep on the settee, but I also wanted to stand a chance of walking the next day, so I camped out on the bed. Watched another ep of Leverage with Michelle before crashing.
And that was the rest of Saturday.
Next up, Sunday. Later.
(LOL at the tired mood theme pic. I do that a lot)

Date: 2009-05-08 03:09 am (UTC)Michelle hates having her pic taken, so I figured this would be the only acceptable 'group' pic that included her. And besides, I am a sheep and the others were doing it too ;)
