Another hot day

Well, not quite as hot as before, but it still felt like it upstairs at the library today. And, to top it off, I think I am coming down with a sore throat...the type that makes me sick to my stomach for a day and a half...I get it a couple times a year. Now, salt helps sometimes, so I have a little cup next to me of salt, and, as of a half hour ago, my sore throat is gone...probably be back tomorrow. (and no, the presence of the salt didn't scare it away, I've been letting some slowly disolve in my mouth..yum :-/ )
Also at the library, saw a book called Sparrow Jack--sure made me do a double take.
Now, for MASH stuff...Finally got to see the rest of Goodbye Radar; if my parents weren't there, I woulda been bawling and talking to the TV! Got Season 5 from the library....Ahhh too many DVDs!! Just finished 6...I think. Need to watch 4, then 5, then, finally, season 2 which I got from ebay and haven't gotten a chance to put it in my player yet! Plus I need to finish Betsy's Wedding (only had time to watch 20 min of it), and, tomorrow, Season 1 of 24 is waiting for me at the library...ah, the pains of working there!
Ah, also found a talking book at the library...six degrees of separation. It is...a recorded play, in front of an audience..I don't think it is acted out, just voiced...Alan Alda is starring, as well as Swoosie Kurtz and Chuma Hunter-Gault and a bunch of other people I've never heard of. I've listened to a little of it (7 min) and so far it is interesting...though I think I have the ending pegged already. Total, it is 82 min....gonna try to finish it before bed, then type back here.

Date: 2004-08-01 12:19 am (UTC)Betsy's Wedding is hilarious -- I adore Alan's character, and love some of the quirks he has. Tigers, nearly killing his wife in bed during his dreams, falling off of houses. The words "Written and Directed By Alan Alda" never cease to be an outstandingly wonderful thing.
All those DVDs you have to watch just make me want to cry.
Farwell.
