More flood news

The water is slowly going down and is gone from my routes. Traffic in town is insane since the freeway is still closed. At my exit, 72, it looks like that is the first exit to open South.
But it was so wierd seeing no traffic at all on the freeway. I tried to get a picture, but my camera battery died.
McDonalds is back open (I went inside for some fries)
I wanted to go down towards Walmart and see if there was still water, but due to traffic everywhere, I just went home (well...two little detours...McDs and a road that always floods that had just reopened)
When I got home, I called Pizza Hut and Dominoes Pizza, and both are fine and open (yay!).

Walmart is the large building in the center, it's strip mall is to the left, and Home Depot to the right are very new: Walgreens, ice cream place, games place, and a few others.
That road that is just above the K5 symbol is the bridge that goes over the freeway and the on and off exit ramps that lead down into the water.
Walmart got between 2 and 5 feet of water in their store and I heard that they were going to try to open in 10!!! days (yesterday, I had heard several months)

This is Yard Birds, where the 3-screen theater is located plus Shop 'N Kart and a bunch of swap meet sellers. The duck that looks to be floating along out there cracked up the news person. I heard it had about 8 feet in it. So it looks like, with all the good movies coming out, we will have to make due with our downtown single screen theater :-/
This is the third time in like 20-30 years that the freeway has had to close due to water...due to 100 year flood waters lol. Me thinks it needs a name change ;)
