evila_elfIt's been an up and down day today.
Feel free to ignore, just want to babble a bit.
Day started out shitty with Mindy (little house dog) waking me up with her barking at 9:30 from in my room. So Dad let's her continue to bark, even though he knows how much it pisses me off. Anywho, a pair of Mom's church friends came over to talk to Dad, as they always do on Thursdays.
Now. I hate getting up when they are over because, in order to eat breakfast, I have to wander into the kitchen.
11 came and went. I got up and checked my e-mail, and fiddled around a little. By 11:30 I got dressed and slinked into the kitchen, said a too-cheerful hello, grabbed a bag of chips, then went to the media room to watch some TV. 15 minutes later I returned for juice and disappeared again.
They were finally gone by 12:10 and I was trying to get things together so I could head to work. Then Mom came home with several friends to pick up something. I had to wait for them to leave so I could get out of the driveway. 12:30 and I was finally work-bound.
Work. This is where things get much better. I love to arrive early so I can read/write/talk some before I start working. Carron was subbing to I ended up following her around as she was shelving books. Talked to her until 1:30, even though I am supposed to work at 1. hehe. I don't get to see her enough.
I got all my books shelved upstairs within an hour, so I started repairing a few CD cases (aka, putting the disks and papers in new ones) and talked to Carron a bit as she did the mail.
Corrine, the 'big boss' ^.^ told me we got a huge box of donations and wanted them moved upstairs. I poked around a bit in the box and it is a collectors set of hardbound stories. 50 books. Looks like they had never been read, but they had a musty smell of being stored for a long time. Took 3 trips up stairs to move them all and 10 minutes to put them back in the box after counting to make sure it was a complete set. Helped some lady try to find a book while I was up there, and tried to cool down--face was beet red. They tend to get concerned and tell me to take it easy when that happens lol. *snort*
Ate lunch after work a 3 + the driving time--boring.
Was home 5 minutes when Mom got home, wanting help with the groceries. I made some attempt to tell her about my day (a bit more eventful than most) but she pretty much ignored me and shoved stuff at me to put away. Dad came in, so I was telling him some of the stuff Carron was talking about (he knows her), and Mom kept interrupting and telling me to stop talking and put stuff away! I think I get annoyed too easily.
So yeah. That was pretty much my day today.
Oh, and the weather!! Rainy, cloudy, sunny, downpours...had it all today! Carron said "If you don't like Washington weather, wait 5 minutes." *giggles*
