Monday, April 24th, 2006 02:21 amMy name is Amy, and this has been the longest day of my life
*cough*
Rewind to earlier today. Kitchen. Flour and dough, everywhere. Well, not everywhere, but damn close!
Tip: When making dough, don't be stupid like me and add an extra cup of water!
I used the breadmachine to make some dough for dinner rolls. I had to stop the damn thing 30 minutes early because it was oozing dough everywhere. Was afraid I would run out of flour as I tried to get it so it would stop sticking to me!!
After I finally got the dough into rolls and raising in the oven, I took a break to hop on the computer. I was || close to going insane at the mess. (fortunately, both parents were gone at the time)
I sent an e-mail to
michelleann68 about the attacking dough, and she wrote me a little drabble that had me giggling and gave me some added strength to go tackle the mess. Here's the H/W drabble she wrote me: http://michelleann68.livejournal.com/39067.html
I had the dough raise for almost an hour and bake for about 40 minutes. It took me all that time to clean off the cutting board that I used, to scrape out the breadpan, and wip away all the dough from inside the machine, by the heating element. I could have made 3 or 4 more rolls with all the dough I tracked down.
And after all that...guess what? They tasted decent! Bit dry, but not bad! Mom and Dad were leery of eating them, but they enjoyed them as well, hehe :)
Now, I want to do it again, if only to think 'OMG! This is easy when done right!!'
My arms are sore. I was shooting my BB gun with Dad earlier and I have the hardest time cocking it (whoever laughs at that owes me a drabble! :P). I'm a decent shot with it, but I miss my old one even though the sites were screwy and I had to aim down and to the right of my targets. Got so use to shooting that way. Hard to actually 'aim' at the target now lol.
After today, I was starting to wish I had been scheduled to work 5 hours. At least I would get 50 bucks out of it and be spared--*points in general direction of kitchen*

Date: 2006-04-24 02:35 am (UTC)Okay, I owe you a drabble.
Cock
H/W
Quite suggestive. WHAT'RE THEY DOING? That is the question!
‘Okay, then you raise it- here, let me give you a hand.’
‘I can do it myself, House.’
‘And then you- Jesus, stand still- you put your hand here, draw it along the shaft…’
‘I can do it myself, House.’
‘Curl your fingers around here- not too tight, don’t wanna hurt it… ‘atta boy. Like that. Feels good in your hand, doesn’t it?’
‘Mm… mm-hmm.’
‘Now squeeze, let it out.’
‘Uh- uh-huh- uh- OW, that hurt!’
‘Told you, you squeeze too tight, it’s gonna hurt you.’
‘You told me to squeeze!’
‘Oh shut up, put your hands back around it.’

Date: 2006-04-24 03:12 am (UTC)Not like I added the extra water on purpose! I grabbed a new liquid measure thingy. It was a 2 cup one and I am so use to the single cup that I didn't even check to see if I was adding 1 and 3/4 rather than just 3/4 :-/
Least I got plenty of rolls out of it (and a mini loaf of bread hehe)
