Because I was bored, I recorded a minute and a half of Robert Sean Leonard Reading 'Prey' by Michael Crichton. I love RSL's speaking voice!
Please go have a listen! I might do a few other little bits if anyone seems interested...Just over 2mbs:

This is at the very start of the talking book. Enjoy :D

Date: 2006-03-26 01:45 am (UTC)I definately won't be able to do the whole thing...book is over 13 hours long, but it is my favorite of his...I think I will do a bit of the next part where he is shopping for placemats.
Such an intense book--umm, not the placemats part lol, but later :D
How much of Surviving the Applewhites did you read? You really have to listen to him doing the voice of Destiny, the little boy :) I think I will get that TB again and make a clip of it...cracks me up every time! :D

Date: 2006-03-26 10:10 pm (UTC)I only listened to a tiny bit of Surviving the Applewhites. I didn't have a tape player (this is the 21st century after all...:P), so I had to go over to a friend's place... anyways, I didn't get to hear him doing the voice of a little boy. Can he ge any cuter?!

Date: 2006-03-26 11:20 pm (UTC)I'll place a hold on Applewhites so I can record some of the voices he does. He normally doens't change his voice that noticibly for the characters, but it sounded like he had a lot of fun doing that talking book :D

Date: 2006-03-26 02:03 am (UTC)Oooh, cheesy music. He does have such a *beautiful* speaking voice, sigh. I've read the book btw. A comment about making a silk purse out of a sow's ear springs to mind :)

Date: 2006-03-26 02:06 am (UTC)lol! That doesn't ring a bell...This version is abridged and 13-14 hours long. The unabridged version (not done by RSL unfortunately) is over 22 hours.
I'll try to get some more parts up tomorrow. I love this talking book so much..listened to it over 5 times :D

Date: 2006-03-26 02:16 am (UTC)I just wish he did more books of that length. Almost killed one of my RPG characters when I was listening...I think at the part while they were all trapped in the cars. Reminded me of the X-files episode.
Surviving the Applewhites is pretty decent.
