I was flipping through my newly arrived Entertainment Magazine. Found a neat little note/box at the bottom corner of page 64:
Alan Alda
Hawkeye for president? AWOL from full-time series stints since M*A*S*H, the Emmy winner has elected to join NBC's The West Wing this fall as Republican senator with White House Dreams.
I wish I could scan the small picture, but my scanner is busted/refuses to work again. I had heard mention that he was going to be on WW this fall already, but this amused me. I might have to try to watch an episode or 10 :D
I was trying to entertain an old friend when the magazine arrived via my dad. I was flipping through it and caught the picture. She (my friend) had to ask me why I was grinning. I cleared my throat, dog-eared the page, and said "oh, nothing."
I doubt she believed me :-/
Just had to share :)

Date: 2004-08-28 09:17 pm (UTC)I've heard this news myself, but I didn't know it was in the magazine. I'll have to hunt down a copy and buy it (yes, buy the entire magazine, just for one photo of him). I've never watched West Wing, myself, but believe me, I will be watching almost every episode now.
By the way, when's it on? Better yet, what channel?
Farewell.
