Here's a little something I came up with between baking batches of cookies earlier. Rated G. I'm not happy with it, but what the Hell...I doubt I will have the urge to get back to it anytime soon.
Wilson knocked on House’s door and waited. And waited. He knocked again. Finally he dug out his spare key and entered. “House?”
“Mmm?”
The noise came from the kitchen. Also coming from the kitchen was a very pleasant smell. “Why didn’t you answer the door?” Wilson asked as he stepped into the kitchen, following his ears, nose, and common sense.
“What, and risk ruining this batch?”
Wilson raised his eyebrows at the cookies sitting on a rack to cool. “You would rather let me stand outside in the cold so that you could baby sit cookies?”
“It’s 70 degrees out.”
“So? You would have let me stand out there if it was 30.”
“Probably.”
Wilson rolled his eyes at House’s back and snagged a cookie. He paused as House turned to look at him, making sure that House wouldn’t resort to violence to save one of his cookies. “What type is it?”
“Cookie surprise.”
Wilson was about to take a bite, but stopped. “Why?”
“See those black things?”
“That resemble chocolate chips?”
House nodded. “What they are is a surprise.”
Wilson blinked and set the cookie back down on the counter.
With a smirk, House picked the deserted cookie up and took a large bite from it.
Wilson frowned and grabbed another, giving it a good look and breaking it in half before taking a bite of his own. “How are chocolate chips a surprise?”
“I never said it was a big surprise.”
Other news, tomorrow I will be signing the song Skin (Sarabeth) by Rascal Flatts for my sign language class. *Freaks out* I finally got time earlier to fine tune it a bit, but I keep wanting to sign it differently everytime! There are less than 10 people in the class and, even with that few a number, I will be so nervious I will be shaking and forget everything! *dramatic sob* Guess I can always hope that the song brings enough tears to people's eyes that they won't notice what I am signing.
For once I think I will try to head to bed a bit earlier...terrible headache...shoulders are too tense. I blame the cramming for the song :-/
