Huge thank you to
me_likee for the card! So pretty! *huggles*
Has anyone seen The Girl From Rio with Hugh Laurie? Amusing little movie that should be shot (with a gun) for the plot. Ridiculous! Hugh was lovely in it, though. Got the DVD offa Netflix. 8 minute interview with HL that was so funny! He talked about how he only had like 5 minuted to be interviewed for the job. Was asked if he could do the dancing for the movie. Hugh said he lied and said yes. *snicker* The first half of the movie was really good, then, once the plot actually started, it went downhill. The interview was definately worth it though, and seeing Hugh dance...though I have to say that Samba dancing is very wierd; it doesn't really look like dancing. Don't think that was Hugh's fault, though he said in the interview something like "(we) English don't have hips in the sense that everybody else does"
I am going through House withdrawals!! Been reading fanfiction like crazy and watching several HL films, including Peter's Friends: Just love that movie. I was reading a ficcy a few minutes ago and I keep hearing House speak with a British accent.
Had a basketball game tonight to play in the band at (ick...I've been writing for how long? Poor, poor sentance). The only friend who I talk to at the game was gone because she had her wisdom teeth pulled out and was doped up on pain meds. I told her sister to videocamera her drooling and acting like she was stoned. Be great entertainment. Very exciting game. We lost by 3 points. The other team was much better, I admit. Very crowded in the band section, despite my missing friend. I was sitting next to a row of trumpets and in front of the drum set, which is where I normally sit. So crowded that the row of trumpets were standing, so I decided to stand as well. Much better than having Nick's ass right by my head the whole time. I use to stand all the time back when I was in High School.
One of the songs we played, I Love Rock and Roll, the drummer wasn't use to playing it with us, so he played it at like triple the speed. I normally can't hear myself play, but I could during that song since most of the woodwinds couldn't keep up or were looking at the drummer in disbelief. At the end, my face was beet red and everything was blurry. Man, that was fun! Faster the better!
Went out for pizza before work with my RL Aunt (I am adopted) and it was my turn to pay. We have been meaning to go out for months it seems like, but things kept getting in the way. As usual, I ate way too much. :D I could live offa pizza and pepsi!
Come February, I have been working at the library for 2 years. o.o; Damn, has it been that long? I think after all this time, I have finally realized I won't be fired if I slack, hehe. These past few weeks have been super boring, not enough books to put away upstairs. I have been shelving downstairs a lot too, and even there there isn't enough to keep me busy for my 10 hours a week. Yesterday I got the 'project' of pulling all talking books and videos that the cases were damaged and putting them in shiny new cases. I camped out on the floor in the back room with piles of stuff around me. The newest employees kept asking me why I didn't sit at the table. My reply: "Stuff can fall off the table, but it can't off the floor." Yep, that makes sense to me!
I need to update here more often. When I don't, I get yappy and babble on and on and on and on a lot :D
kk, time to go play Astonia now. Ta ta!!

Date: 2006-01-28 01:21 am (UTC)My Aunt and her daughter use to babysit me all the time and I never knew we were related until I was almost 18.
I gave a *SOJ* when I caught a preview for the next House episode, then proceeded to watch it half a dozen times...I need my fixes however I can get them! I didn't catch the preview where House was outside Wilson's door though. Hopefully it will repeat in a few days so I can get another little booster. There are worse things to be addicted to :D

Date: 2006-01-28 10:09 am (UTC)I know! I want to see the preview where he's outside his office too LOL. It sounds great. I have put some of the episodes on my ipod and watch them over and over again at school haha. Must have House!

Date: 2006-01-28 12:57 pm (UTC)Have you gotten any friends hooked on House?
no subject
Date: 2006-01-28 02:05 pm (UTC)I think I got my friend Clarissa hooked on it, and then a few e-friends. Not that I have another RL friend than Clarissa LOL.

Date: 2006-01-28 03:33 pm (UTC)My friend Heidi is hooked on House, got her to see all of season 1. And she is pretty much my only RL friend too lol. Everytime we 'meet' the patient, she asks me if s/he is going to die. SHe knows I won't tell her, hehe :)

Date: 2006-01-28 12:52 pm (UTC)Other RSL movies I have enjoyed are Ground Control, Standoff, and Married to it :)
Why not looking forward to the new episode? I watched the preview in slow motion and the/a patient swung the drip stand (whatever that thingy is called) at Chase *snicker*
And, yes, goodbye to Stacy!!

Date: 2006-01-28 03:41 pm (UTC)I hope that the last scene after Stacy leaves (yeah, they will probably drag out her leaving for the whole episode), that House will wander next door to Wilson's where they will proceed to
make out...talk :DStandoff is a nice thriller. RSL sings 'You Sexy Thing' a little *giggle* And in Ground Control he plays an arrogant jerk. The movie also have Keiffer Sutherland in it, which is a nice bonus :D

Date: 2006-01-28 11:00 am (UTC)I will need to see the movie for the interview *makes note to move it up in the netflix queue*
I missed the little House Tease.. *wails*I am sure I can find it someplace. I will be so happy when Stacy is gone and we can get back to the main characters *coughWilsoncough*
I miss House so much, I was watching S1 DVD extras and I it is interesting that there is NO RSL.. not just interviewed but also NO WILSON in the clips - I just found that really ODD.. since he is such a main character.. *pouts* they better make it up to me in the S2 set.
Sounds like the game was fun :)

Do you want any Fox programs besides House? If you do, I am sure the preview will be shown again more often as the 7th gets closer.

Date: 2006-01-28 01:00 pm (UTC)Yeah - I watch 'The Simpsons' and '24' so I am sure I will get a chance to see it.. sigh
on a totally un realted note - it is POURing here.. huge heavy raindrops .. *I love it* MIls is running around attacking things randomly.. Lisa is watching HIGH above, trying to stay out of the way.
GAH... need new House *blushes*

Date: 2006-01-28 01:14 pm (UTC)It was really windy and rainy last night and a bunch of the morning. Now it has calmed a lot and there is sun! *looks out side* Correction: Was sun. Still some wind, but the rain has stopped, for now.

Date: 2006-01-28 01:19 pm (UTC)The sun is blinding me right now and the rain is still coming down - one of the many reasons to love Seattle.

Wilson: *pause* "Would that make you Woody, then?"
House: *Looks at his cane, then smirks at Wilson*

House: "You are doing that Buzz Lightyear thing again," he whispers.
Cuddy comes around the corner just in time to hear Wilson call House Woody.

Date: 2006-01-28 04:16 pm (UTC)House: Woody?
Wilson: Yeah
House: Well, that explains the Christmas gift.
Yeah.. I need to watch the movie again to get some good banter.
