I also loved the boy; often ids can be so annoying, but here they did everything right. And I also had no problems with more Tony and less suits (and I mean, the end battle had a LOT of suits, so this should make for the lack of them before), but it seems some fans didn't like it that much. *shrugs*
I think he cured Pepper because it was something that Pepper hadn't wanted. Of course she was totally awesome as a superhero, but after killing Killian she looked terrified and lost. It was a bit rushed there at the end and perhaps they should've had another short scene where Tony and Pepper talk about it. But I think the whole Extremis thing was used more in the comics, so perhaps they'll use it for SHIELD or whatever.^^
