Well, I have been working on this new ficcie for several weeks, adn I decided to post a bit of the beginning. This is the one that was on my story list, #9.
Enjoy :)
Part 1
The rain battered against the window pain. It made him feel isolated and alone. Just the rainstorm to keep him company…the rain crying where he could not. Frequently a joke or funny story came to mind and he wished nothing more than to run and tell his best friend—only his best friend was on the other side of the states. He might as well still be in Korea!
His dad wanted nothing more than to comfort his boy, but how could he? His boy was gone and a man now stood in his place. A man who had lost the last 3 years of his life to a war…
Finally, Daniel Pierce had had enough of the lapses of silence from his usually cheerful son. “Go,” he demanded. “Go and see him.”
“Who?” Hawkeye looked up from his quarter novel. Was it that obvious he wasn’t reading?
“You know who! If he won’t make the first move, then it is up to you.”
“He’s probably busy getting his life back together…”
“It’s been two months!”
Hawkeye was torn. Should he go to California and try to track Beej down? Show up out of the blue, drop by to say ‘hello?’ What if BJ doesn’t want anything more to do with Korea, including his friend? He wanted to come to a decision, maybe even just give him an awkward phone call…Hawkeye winced and massaged his temple, trying to get rid of a headache that he had been fighting all week. “I don’t know what to do,” he finally replied. “He’s probably happy with his life right now. I don’t want to screw with that. When he is ready, he will call.”
“Are you alright?”
“Huh? Oh. Just all this talking is giving me a headache.”
“Do you need some extra rest?”
“Seems like that is all I have been doing lately!” he said in disgust, then sighed and swallowed the rest of his outburst. “I need to take a walk, get some fresh air.”
“Maybe you should get yourself a dog,” Daniel commented dryly as he watched his son head outside.

(A/N: This is where the fic decided to do a 180 on me.)
“It’s time to get up, Hawkeye.” Daniel Pierce gently shook his son’s shoulder. “Hawkeye?”
He groaned, but still remained asleep.
Daniel shook him again, then patted his face. Warning bells went off—Hawkeye’s face was flushed and warm to the touch. “Ben, please wake up!”
Finally, after much prodding, Hawkeye slowly opened his eyes. “Dad?”
“Are you in pain anywhere?”
He closed his eyes tightly. “My head.”
“Is that the same headache from last night?”
“Either that or it’s twin,” he whispered.
“How long have you been having them?”
“Um…” thinking was difficult. “A while now…”
“Damn it! Why didn’t you tell me?” Daniel switched from doctor mode to concerned parent mode with ease.
“N-nothing to be concerned about—until now…”
Maybe it was just a real bad headache, stress, but maybe not. “I’m taking you to the hospital for a scan.”
“Don’t get worried, but I agree with you.” Eyes still closed, he pulled off the covers and stood. Then he made the mistake of opening them. The room pitched wildly and he fell to his knees. “What’s wrong with me?” he asked the floor.
“If you close you eyes, can you walk?”
“Yes, into things.” At least his humor was still intact.
“I’ll lead you to the car.”

A/N And the freaky part, is that every once and awhile, I have been getting sharp head pains...kinda freaks me out, esp after what I have been doing to Hawk lol
Enjoy :)
