I spent more time being annoyed than enjoying it. I do think it might settle down and get more interesting. It just felt like it put all its eggs in one basket. In one episode, we already know just about everything that makes the Sherlock character tick (or at least everything that's made the other versions tick). I don't want to be told everything in one giant run on sentence from Sherlock. I want to learn gradually about him.
I think we should be learning more about Joan and how she operates and why. It just felt like she was dropped in and Sherlock, being the more 'interesting' of the two, is who we are supposed to be focused on all the time.
I did get a little giggle out of the opera scene when he was looking for Joan and at the very end with the game. More moments like that and less endless 'being clever' babble and I might actually like this.
Oh, and was that a continuity error at the start with the shirt?
And I heard someone comment that it would be awesome if Joan was a lesbian. I think that would be awesome!
