Wednesday, August 18th, 2010 11:32 pmI really need to post more. Not feeling too fannish atm, though, as far as the need to participate in after-watching activities ;)
My brother is visiting from Japan. He's been here a bit. His wife, Nori, is also here. She was supposed to be going back a few days ago, but a mess up on the day means she is going to be here another week :)
Yesterday, you might have heard about the F-15s that rushed from Portland to Seattle to protect President Obama from some idiot who didn't know he was in a no-fly zone *facepalm*
I was in my car on the way to work. I had my head propped on my hand and was wondering if a cop would try to pull me over because it looked like I was using a cell phone. As soon as the though crossed my mind, I heard what sounded like three rapid knocks on my back window. Thought the cops had caught me...but then I realized I was still driving. A few seconds later, exact same sound. I thought there was someone in my car. Turns out, it was the sonic boom as the jets broke the sound barrier all the way to Seattle. I heard they could make the trip in 5-10 minutes. Niice. At the library, they thought someone had hit the building. Twice. In other areas, things fell off walls and freaked a lot of people out.
Uugh.
