Tuesday, January 17th, 2006 12:35 amBeing sick sucks. Saturday my throat started hurting. I was hoping that I had just burned it with pizza, but it still hurt yesterday and today. Everytime I swallow, there is this little build up of pressure or something that makes me feel like I am going to be sick. And. I. Can. NOT. Stop. Swallowing!! Grrrr. And, joy of joys, I have to work 11am to 7pm tomorrow at the library instead of my usual 3 hours. I do get an hour lunch break. I bet, by tomorrow, my throat will be twice as sore and I will begin to develop a hacking cough. Sorry, just felt like complaining :P
Other news, 20 minutes into 24, I remembered...Golden Globes!! I waited for a commercial, then zipped to the TV in the living room, grabbed the tape I was recording 24 on, brought it into the other room to resume recording there, ran back to the living room and grabbed a blank tape to record the GGs on, then went back to watch more 24.
During the commercial break, I ran back to make sure everything was recording fine, and came in just in time to hear Hugh win!!! I ran back to the other room, *SOJ*ing all the way, and switched it to the GGs so my parents could see. Mom told me to turn back to FOX so we don't miss 24. *glare glare*
Next commercial break Emma Thompson was on and I switched it over to see if Mom recognized her. We almost missed 24 coming back on because Mom didn't want me to change the channel -.-
After 24 was over, I watched the last hour of the GGs, happy that Ang Lee won and Brokeback Mountain won for best picture :D
After all that, I rewound the tape so I could actually listen to Hugh *bounce* He was hilarious! And Stephen Fry was there!!! Pissed the camera didn't zip to him when Hugh said his name!
'Twas a nice little highlight to my day.
and 24...wow! House is exciting and all, but 24 leaves me on the edge of my seat in a way that no other show can. Prison Break came mightly close at times, though.
Guess that is all I have to type...
Oh, I finished a Sudoku puzzle without having to write down all possible numbers in the boxes :D I don't care that no one cares, I think it is awesome!
