Friday, December 30th, 2005 01:56 amHuge thanks to [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]!! I got the magazine yesterday! Odd that the Canada edition runs different stories o.0 well...to me it is :P
Soooo boring at work today. True, I only work 2 hours on Thursdays...
Only 2 trips up the stairs with half filled boxes. I took my time and was still done shelving after 20 minutes. I saw my Grandma and Aunt there. Aunt Val was up visiting and takes G'ma to the library on occassion. My family has recently taken a stand against G'ma driving any more, so Val was checking up on the local bus route, so I hung around the front desk and watched my co worker look up the info on the computer, then make a phone call. 10 minutes more down the drain. I hauled Val upstairs and we searched for some books in the Young Adult section for G'ma. She has read most of the 'tame' books we have downstairs and has no hope of being able to make it up the flight of stairs.
Still had over an hour to kill after they left. We got in some donations, so I dragged those upstairs to look through them before I placed them on the shelves to be sold. Tons of talking books were donated. I bought 2 Danielle Steel books and 1 Dean Koontz for 5 bucks total. If they suck, I will just re-donate them. Listening to a good one right now (well...before I started typing) that I am enjoying. Called 'The Zero Game' by Brad Meltzer. The guy who reads it (Scott Brick) is doing an excellent job! Seems like the people who have performed on stage make the best narrators.
The top of my bed is a mess right now...5 different talking books were stacked there--now they are kinda toppled over. Have some wrappers from my new headphones there too (warranty info on the back, so I can't toss). 2 binders, 3 CD-Roms that my computer refuses to play, Bo Bice's new CD, portable speakers, and a large book of "40 classic Hits" for the piano that I was attempting to play earlier on my keyboard...proving to myself, once again, that I should just stick with the flute.
My memory--or lack there of--is really starting to worry me :-/ *sniffle* Yesterday, as I was working on a ficcy, I forgot what year it was and I thought that it was going to be 2007 come January! Kinda funny though...that same night I was listening to the radio and the DJ was talking about how we all need hypnosis so that 'we won't have to worry about writting 2006 on our checks next month' o.0
