Well, after almost 6 months of living here, my room is looking very well lived in. *looks around* Papers strewn all over my bed. Magazines, books, food, pictures all over the desk; If I want to write anything, I have to place the paper on top of something else..or just move the stuff to my bed. The little 3 ft tall bookshelf next to the desk has 3 binders on it, three times as many books, and half that many magazines. And fuzzy socks. And a funny hat that I will never wear again *tear*
Tucked into a little corner of the desk are envelopes, index cards, post cards, tape, white out, a stapler, calculator, little box of mechanical pencils and pens, lotion, CD roms, cat toys, old bubble gum, a screw driver, a tape player, headphones, sissors, packet of pictures, a winning pop cap that has probably expired...and all that is just what I can see.
Movie posters cover all walls--newest one being one for Narnia (excellent movie, BTW). Also have a vase of fake fall flowers above the desk and green garland along all 3 bookshelves' tops. A windchime is tacked to the wall next to my posterboard, which has a deer ornament on it, the black cat clip/keychain from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] some Japanese Geisha doll bookmarks from my brother, and some once-important-but-not-now notes.
A fan and printer are at my left elbow. The fan unplugged in favor of my electric blanket this time of year.
Ground level:
A boombox I haul out and plug in if I want to listen to radio or a TB. Under that is a case that contains floppys that are useless (my floppy drive is acting up again), a microcassette recorder, LJ addresses, indexcards of important information to games I play, a few book lists, and junk I may never need again.
On a little shelf to my left I have tons of colored paper, card stock paper--which came in handy last month after I had purchased it 2 years ago--a few empty boxes, pretty bows I will never want to part with, a years worth of Entertainment Weekly Magazines, some unused notebooks, a MP3 player and a larger cassette player...
Underneath the fan and printer are several pull-out drawers...
lip gloss, tatoos, paper, more pencils...In the bottom one *counts* are 26 notebooks. Most are completely filled from back when I use to write something every night. Oh, and hidden in the way back is Season 3 of QAF that I need to hurry up and watch.
Far corner of my room is my cat's litterbox, beside that a dresser, beside that are 2 boxes full of cat food, cat treats, and toys. Both boxes are shredded so much they are about to fall apart (hopefully not in the middle of the night, and hopefully on the blasted cat that is sharpening her claws on it. Next to the litter box (on otherside) is an old desk I have had since I was like 7. Under where the chair would be if I could push it in all the way is the cat's bed.
My bed, besides being covered with paper and several notebooks, also has 2 rows of stuffed animals that I am convinced mean too much to me to toss out/give away. I can swivel my chair around to reach my bed or use it as a soft writing surface.
And this is just the crap (sometimes used litterally since a cat resides in here) that I feel like typing out. I haven't even touched on the stuffed stacked on my bookshelves--like the keyboard on the very top that I really need to play more often, or anything that is in my closet (shoes, 2 backpacks, blanket, pillows, flute, sheetmusic, *cough*)
I have no idea why I spent a half hour typing that out. Sadly, it is faster than trying to get the scanner to work and show the blurry pictures.
I love my room, hehe :D

I was going to ask an unrelated favor, but I have no idea if anyone is still reading, so I will put it up in another post.

Okay, favor time :P

Awhile ago, I saw this music video to Tim McGraw's song 'Don't take the Girl' The song is so sad!! And I really want to see it again. I looked all over online, but can't get any of the places where you can view it to work for me.
Is there anyway someone can track down a version that can be downloaded and saved to the computer? or make a copy to a disk or tape or something?? *Puppy dog eyes* I believe it is an older video, and I watch the country music vid. channel all the time and have only seen it that once :(

Oh, and for those few of you who are bugging me because I haven't put up a wishlist this year, I like cards and letters (particularly fond of the letter e, at this moment) :P

Okay, done begging...for now :D

Not related:
I got the Brokeback Mountain book :D The fact that it is only 55 pages is gonna make it even harder for me not to cuddle up somewhere and read it all. Any guesses as to how long I can manage to avoid reading it?
I checked about online to see if any theaters are showing it. Next week there are 2: One in Seattle and one in Portland. About an hour and a half each way. I have a friend who might drive me, but the parents both said no to going that distance for "just a movie" :-/ I think mom just secretly doesn't want me seeing that "gay cowboy movie" *sobs* Dad offered to take me if it came out around here. I laughed and didn't answer. (no way in HELL am I seeing it with him!)
