Monday, June 20th, 2005 03:10 amI finally got a chance to watch the rest of Phantom of the Opera. Wow! The last half hour was amazing! I need to go out and buy it now! Been humming the songs all day. Love it! (can't ya tell??)
Also, since I couldn't find anything to get for Dad (I swear, he is the hardest person to buy for), so we went out to see Batman Begins. When I first heard about that movie, I wanted to avoid it. Then I started to hear some good reviews, realized that Christian Bale might be good in the role...and it had Morgan Freeman! The movie was really good, and Dad seemed to enjoy it. I had seen Ebert and Roper give it two thumbs up and say that it was a very dark movie, darkest of all the Batman films...It didn't seem all that dark to me. Dark movies have nothing to laugh about, IMO. I am definately gonna see the next one!
Dad thought he saw Wilson from House towards the beginning of the Batmobile carchase scene...but I didn't. Looked closely from then on and nothing.
I want to see Mr and Mrs Smith, but it isn't coming out around here!!! WTH! We have a three screen theather and a one screen theater in town...God this sucks. We were supposed to have a multiplex put in around Feb with 6 screens...wonder what ever happened to that brilliant idea. Heard several people talking when I ordered popcorn...they said that Madigascar didn't sell a single ticket on Friday! They should have ditched it for a better movie. I am still ticked that Unleashed didn't come out here. *bawls*
Been pretty boring around here lately. Had a thunderstorm yesterday, total downpour. So naturally I wandered around outside to see where Dad was holding up. I hate it when it rains hard here. It screws up our Dish -.- Never had that problem at the other house. Wondering if I should call them about it. So far, there have been more thunderstorms this year than there have been in like 5 years or more. I use to only see them once a year at the most.
