evila_elf: (LOTR-Don't understand it)

First off, a huge thank you to [livejournal.com profile] nutmeg4077  for the OC tape! Got it today and looking forward to watching the episodes I was only able to see once when they aired! *bounces around*

Secondly, a meme, because [livejournal.com profile] twilightmash  made me :P

1) Total number of books in your house:
!!! Actually, a lot of my books are packed up in several large boxes (probably a couple hundred there)...hmmm. *runs off to count* I counted 51. A couple months ago I only had 5 that I had saved from being packed 0.o

2) The last book you bought was:
Well, a book by James Patterson called The Thomas Berryman Number arrived today in the mail...I don't recall ordering it, but it seemed interesting, so I paid Mom the 10 bucks to write a check for it.

3) What was the last book you read before reading this?
A new paperback called No One Must Know. I read several pages at work when I was supposed to be shelving the books *shhhh*

4) Write down 5 books you often read or that mean a lot to you.
This is a toughie...I don't really have time to re-read books that much..see if I can come up a few...

   a) Not really a single book, but the original Redwall series by Brian Jacques which includes Mossflower, Redwall, and Mattimeo, with special mention to Martin the Warrior. Wish all the newer ones were that good!

   b) I am starting to become fond of The Castaways of the Flying Dutchman series as well, also by the same author. I was just listening to it on talking book before I started typing, and am falling in love with it all over again!

   c) Mercedes Lackey's Vanyel trilogy. (I love books that there are series books, can't ya tell?) Also her Valdimar series on a whole--probably over 30 books there. She is one of the few authors who can get me to sob over her books.

   d) Hmmm...this should probably be a fav. authors top 5 the way I am going...*Cries* I read too much to just pick 5 titles :( Another one, again a trilogy of books. First one is Across the Nightingale floor by Lean Hearn. Second is Grass for his Pillow, followed by Brilliance of the Moon.

   e) one more...*Thinks* *looks at my Pepsi for inspiration* *thinks some more* *gives up* Just wait...tonight as I try to get some sleep, then it will come to me!!

5) Who are you going to pass the stick to (three people) and why?
0.0 The first three who will take it? Because...just because :P

Now, tune in for a boring rant about the house we were supposed to start moving into this weekend: Rant )
