Blackberries

Wow, I am surprised that I have been able to keep up with posting a pic a day...even if most of the posts are boring, strange, or a combination of the two lol

Yesterday, I went out to see if I could find any blackberries. Found some wild trailing ones around the place and was going to check on the Himalayan and evergreen ones that are under the power lines. Dad hates for me to wander anywhere with out him *sigh* so he went with.
The Himalayan ones were just starting to get ripe and I found about 3 of them.
And a cherry tree that had most of the lower ones picked.

My 'catch':
Trailing blackberries, 3 Himalayan blackberries, and 1 cherry

Have to go to bed early (as in 5 minutes ago--oops) because working in Winlock from 11-4, then my own job at 5-8. Sad that I get about 3 bucks more an hour to stand around behind a desk when as a page I hurry around with armloads of books and barely make over minimum wage *sigh*

Trailing or evergreens? Trailers tend to be on the small side over here-- maybe they like your area better. They als have a VERY distinctive flavor difference. (All 3 taste very different)

As a child I spent sooo much time wandering the woods... mostly alone. And I go hiking here alone too. :-p You live in the middle of fing nowhere! What's the big deal? (Besides the fact you might not have enough situational experience yet... although how are you gonna get it?)

Well, that is a pretty small bowl, so hard to tell the size of the berries. They are pretty small, though.

And since we are kinda out in the middle of nowhere, there are strange people about. Neighbor likes to ride his motorbike around and do jumps around there (you can hear him a mile away), and the power line area is secluded enough that it would be a great place for drug deals and things *shrugs* I just listen well when out there because it is hard to walk and be quiet while doing so.
