Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon

Maybe I am slow to the party. But I just learned that I can type any actors name into Google, followed by the words Bacon Number, and it will tell me how many steps that actor is away from Kevin Bacon.

I just lost an hour of my life trying to find someone past 3 steps lol. I failed.

That's new to me. And an hour of my life I'll lose later this evening...

Goddammit, I'm choosing the most obscure actors I know, and they're all 1 or 2!

Haha, I was trying to 'beat' it as well. I'm not sure if 6 applies to anyone any more!

It is annoying that if you try someone who has a biography made about them (i.e Charlie Chaplin), it most of the time takes the bio info.

Though a different Google Search got me this:
Charlie Chaplin was in Countess of Hong Kong with Marlon Brando who was in the Score with Robert De Niro who was in Sleepers with Kevin Bacon.

This is way too addictive! Apparently there's one actor (Harold P Warren; Manos: The Hands of Fate) who has a Bacon number of 4.

What's really fascinating is how many non-actors have Bacon numbers, like Anne Frank (3) and Helen Keller (4).

I looked at some websites for people that had high Bacon numbers. They were older pages, and a lot of the numbers are no longer high.

Anne Frank is one of the ones where it links people to her biography, and not Anne herself.

I read that Google doesn't use IMDB to gather the results, so that is why things get a bit off.

LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO XD

And yes, I stumbled across an article where Bacon said that Black Mass ruined everything *g*. Googling BC gives him a Bacon number of 2, but it's actually 1 now...
