BBC Sherlock
*Squeeeee*
Watched it once. Then turned around and watched it a second time, while making notes squeeing about everything.
Tons of spoilers, so PLEASE don't read if you haven't seen the ep. If you want a glimpse to determine my reaction, please settle with the statement that I LOVED IT and look muchly forward to the next ep.
From second watching:
The thing that actually bugged me the most (okay, the second most) about this ep happened right at the start. Once Moriarty left, Sherlock’s threat of shooting the explosives to kill Moriarty was no more...so the snipers could have still gotten him. Yes, very minor, but I don’t have much to complain about lol.
Ms. Adler is really...creepy. But I did eventually warm to her as the ep went on.
Loved seeing some of the ‘minor’ cases and seeing John’s blog entries about them.
John really should be the leader of the Sherlock Holmes fan club. The president :)
The hats. THE HATS!!!
What experiment could Sherlock really need thumbs for? Seeing how long it takes for the prints to become useless?
Oh, the sheet.
Fear the mute button, Sherlock.
Love that he didn’t remove the sheet. AND that John had to ask him if he was wearing pants. AND that they both giggled like children over that and some other jokes.
And yes. I used my super slow mo button on the following scene. Twice. And the sound from the pouring of the teacup seemed rather unfortunate timing. Unintentionally, I’m sure.
Did we ever find out who the other person in the photos was? I...don’t recall at this time lol.
Laterz! Haha
Hearing it the second time, I hadn’t noticed the first watching that John had said that he felt like stealing an ashtray. So the fact that Sherlock actually did steal one is even funnier.
John taking his aggression out on Sherlock. THE TACKLE! (maybe with a secret grope in there as well ;) )
Oh, Sherlock. Not fooling anyone.
Love how he goes from noticing everything about John, to nothing on Adler. She's too good.
John pretends that her nakedness is bothering him when he demands she put on clothes, when in fact it is that she just said that John loves Sherlock haha
The scene where Sherlock was explaining the case to Ms. Adler was awesome, where they are both at the scene of the crime while he explains. Similar to Three Stories on House (still the most awesome episode of that series ever).
Brilliant getting get to lose to the safe. (Wow...this is what happens when I type while watching TV. And type without thinking lol. I meant 'Brilliant getting her to look at the safe'.)
The slow motion fighting was awesome! One of my favorite things about the new Sherlock Holmes movie, as well.
Gun shots to call police LOL.
Love John’s bedside manner. No, not that one.
The sound of the text message. HAhahaha! That never got old.
Guess Sherlock is the only Holmes who can tell Ms. Hudson to shut up.
Sherlock can’t remember the name of John’s girlfriend. LOL!
I hardly recognized Molly!
And ouch. The one thing Sherlock failed to account for was that she would be smart enough not to show up to a party with presents not intended for said party.
The text tone again lol. And John was counting!
And the second thing in this episode that bugged me: Sherlock couldn’t tell that the body didn’t belong to Ms. Adler. As far as I noticed, he never mentioned anywhere that he knew it wasn’t her. I plan to pretend that he did know, and just played along.
John can’t even keep his girlfriends straight lol
Okay, three things that bugged me: John was cautioned about leaving Sherlock alone, but he left anyway. Though I guess it all worked out okay in the end. But still!
John: “We could have just gone to a café. Sherlock doesn’t follow me everywhere.” Oh John, yes he does.
John: “If anyone out there actually cares, I’m not gay.” Bwahahaha! But didn’t he seem to say that out of nowhere?
Crime in Progress. Please Disturb.
Lestrade: “Exactly how many times did he fall out of the window?”
Sherlock to John: “Ms. Hudson leave Baker Street? London would fall.” She is awesome.
Poor Molly.
Smart move, Sherlock, by switching the phones. But she was one step ahead of you! Touché!
John seems bothered by the games Sherlock and Adler are playing at. Only fair haha.
Love that Sherlock talks to John whether John is in the room or not.
The flight of dead people is creepy.
Sherlock’s deduction of the passcode is brilliant..
A text from Ms. Adler: “John’s blog is HILARIOUS! I think he likes you more than I do. Let’s have dinner.”
Another “You looked sexy on Crimewatch.”
“Even you have got to eat. Let’s have dinner.”
“BBC1 right now. You’ll laugh.”
Awesome ending!
The episode was better than I had hoped it would be and totally blew the other three out of the water! I don’t know how it can get any better than this!
